As the Athletic Director at Spring Creek Charter School, I want to personally give a HUGE shoutout and thank you to KPS Electric out of Umatilla for sponsoring Spring Creek Athletics this year!
KPS Electric is the kind of local business you want in your community. They are a locally family owned company that serves Umatilla, Lake County, and Central Florida, but their impact goes far beyond electrical work.
They are constantly giving back and supporting the community, especially our kids. They play a major role in Umatilla athletics, support local schools, and are always out there supporting the people and organizations that make our community great.
I can personally speak to the quality of their work. I had KPS Electric come out to my property in Leesburg and install a Level 2 EV charger in my garage. I couldn't be happier with the job they did. Professional, clean, knowledgeable, and they did it right.
Although I probably wasn't the easiest customer to have around.
I sat out in the garage watching Dalton install the charger and probably wasted a solid hour of their time just chit chatting while he worked. He just sat back, chimed in and made it feel like we had known each other for years.
Definitely good people.
That's the kind of business we want partnering with Spring Creek. Companies that don't just write a check, but actually invest in our community and our kids.

Athletics Practice Schedule & Soccer Equipment
Good morning everyone,
Here is the athletics practice schedule for this week and a few updates:
🏐 Volleyball
* Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
* 3:00–4:00 PM
⚽ Soccer
* Tuesday & Thursday
* 3:00–4:30 PM
🏃 Cross Country
Cross Country practice will begin this Thursday. It was originally scheduled to begin tomorrow (8/25), but we are pushing it back a few days.
XC practices will be:
* Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
* 3:00–4:00 PM
Students who are participating in both Cross Country and Soccer are encouraged to attend soccer practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will work around the overlap as much as possible.
⚽ Soccer Sponsorship Opportunity
If anyone is interested in sponsoring our soccer program, it would be greatly appreciated. Our student-athletes are currently in need of shin guards, and sponsorships would help us provide the equipment our athletes need to safely participate.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to Andy Douglas, AD from Round Lake Charter, who recently donated cleats, socks, and shirts to help support our athletics programs. This is huge, many of our students do not have the proper equipment for the upcoming season.

Today, 3rd graders had their first "Book Tasting." They previewed the books for their upcoming unit in ELA while eating yummy snacks! In Module 1 they will strengthen their reading and writing skills while learning how and why scientists & artists explore the sea.
As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we will be implementing a new organization system for afternoon pick-up at dismissal on Monday. Our goal is to create a safer, smoother, and more efficient environment for students, families, and staff during dismissal by letting minimal students beyond the door near the traffic.
We understand that any new procedure may take a few days for everyone to become familiar with. During the first several afternoons, pick-up may take a little longer as staff and students learn the routines. We kindly ask for your patience and cooperation as we work through this transition together.
These changes are being made with one priority in mind: the safety of our students and families. A more organized pick-up process allows staff to better supervise students as they are released to their families. The traffic pattern will remain the same for vehicles in the line, so no changes are needed by families.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we implement this improvement. By working together and following the established procedures, we can help ensure a safe and successful dismissal each day.

A reminder to all Spring Creek athletes and parents — tonight is our FREE Sports Physical Night! If your student plans to try out for a sport, this is a great opportunity to get their physical taken care of.
Time: 5-7pm

🚨 IMPORTANT: Students MUST have all of the following completed BEFORE they can try out:
✅ Updated sports physical on file
✅ Completed sports packet
✅ $30 sports fee paid
Parents, please also make sure your child has a ride waiting for them at 4:30 PM. We will not have students waiting around after tryouts for rides.
If your child is planning to try out, please make sure everything is taken care of ahead of time so they are ready to go!
